Ryan Harrison For Unley
Background
Harrison is a fourth-generation resident of Unley. He founded a finance firm in 2010, which he sold in 2019, and currently serves as a responsible manager for a credit provider. He has also worked in compliance and occupational health and safety, including in industrial environments.
Harrison attended Concordia College, which he describes as formative in shaping his values and sense of community. In 1998, while completing Year 12, he took two weeks' leave to undertake basic training with the Australian Army. He served as a rifleman in the Adelaide University Regiment and graduated from the Royal Military College, Duntroon, in 2001. Over eight years in the Army Reserve, he served in both the 9th Combat Service Support Battalion and NORFORCE.
He is a member of the Unley RSL sub-branch and a parishioner at St Augustine's Church. He lives in Malvern, South Australia, with his wife and two sons.
