A Plan for Tree Canopy

Support Mayor Hewitson’s and the City of Unley

Council’s plan to trial incentivised tree canopy.

• The trial is ready to proceed, and only needs Minister

Nick Champion to sign off.

• Applies only to new builds that increase building size.

• A 10 percent reduction in council rates for new builds

that maintain the required 15 percent tree canopy.

• A trial can be started, assessed, or cancelled

so why oppose testing it?

• A simple question for other candidates, if you don’t

support a trial why not?
